SUPRT 101 Training Materials and Next Steps

Thank you to all who were able to attend the SUPRT 101 Training on November 17th. We hope the session helped clarify SAMHSA’s transition from GPRA to the new SUPRT client-level data collection tool and provided useful guidance as you prepare for implementation. The SUPRT tool will be available on November 21st.

We’ve recently added SUPRT Materials to the VirginiaSORSupport.org website, under the Resources tab, in the SUPRT Materials Page.

Materials available:

  • The SUPRT-A and SUPRT-C Paper Surveys

  • The Question-by-Question Guide for the Admin and Client Surveys.

For anyone who would like to revisit the content or for those who were unable to join, the PowerPoint slides and the full training recording are also available on the website.

Reminder of Next Steps

For new clients that began receiving services after October 1, 2025 and are still active:

  • Complete a Baseline SUPRT survey for these clients. SUPRT-A is required, and SUPRT-C should be offered to the client but is voluntary.

For clients who had a prior GPRA intake survey completed before October 1, 2025, and are still active:

  • The Baseline SUPRT should not be completed for these clients.

  • SUPRT-A (Administrative) reassessment and/or the annual assessment is required to be completed.

    • This is completed by staff using client records.

    • The Client ID remains the same.

    • GPRA follow-ups after October 1, 2025, are no longer required, as all future assessments will use the SUPRT-A tool.

  • SUPRT-A closeout must be completed for all clients who are no longer receiving services.

  • SUPRT-C (Client) should not be offered to these clients.

If you have any questions or need further support as you navigate the SUPRT rollout, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at SORSupport@omni.org.
